Turkish Dental Students’ Perceptions and Awareness of Dental Implant Education: A Questionnaire Study

Objective. This study aimed to assess Turkish dental students’ awareness of and attitudes toward implant therapy, as well the effectiveness implantology lecture from their point view.
 Materials Methods. used a cross-sectional online survey. A total 425 third-, fourth- fifth-year students enrolled in Gazi University School Dentistry during 2020-2021 academic year were invited participate survey anonymously voluntarily. Following descriptive part (age, gender, education status), all participants asked 11 questions.
 Results. Total 415 questionnaires analyzed. The 3rd-year stated that they were“ poorly” informed about implants (n=88, 64.7%), while 4th- 5th-year moderately” infromed (n=78, 54.2% n=60, 44.4%, respectively) (p < 0.001).
